Corporate Social Responsibility

We're an active participant in the global conversation and movement towards more responsible business practices that have a positive impact for people, society and the world.

"At PwC, we are committed to being an integral part of the global movement toward responsible business practices that foster positive change. In Gibraltar, our Corporate and Social Responsibility (CSR) committee centralizes our efforts in corporate responsibility. This dedicated committee actively advances our CSR agenda, continually seeking new ways to contribute to the local community."

Making a positive difference

We strongly believe that organisations should seek to make a positive contribution to the communities around them and society as a whole and strive to limit the negative impact they have on the environment. That's why we promote accountability not just within our own firm, but with clients and suppliers too. Our values steer our decision making.

We are mindful of our local environmental impact and have implemented several day-to-day initiatives to improve sustainability. These include recycling shredded paper, using double-sided printing, reviewing drafts on screen, holding paperless meetings, recycling cans and plastic bottles and using energy-saving bulbs. We continue to explore new initiatives to enhance our workplace, reduce energy consumption and costs, and welcome advice from others.

In a competitive market, people are integral to an organization's business success. Building a positive workplace culture is essential to PwC's high performance, innovation, and agility in the marketplace. Our strategy is for PwC Gibraltar to be a great place to work for all our people, where they can achieve their ambitions in a supportive and challenging environment.

We carry out a range of initiatives designed to create a better environment for our people, including our training and development programs and people-centred policies. We have an established Code of Conduct and confidential grievance and ethical guidance procedures. Additionally, PwC's annual global people survey allows every member of staff to share their views with the global network, focusing on the strongest and weakest areas of their local firm. The feedback is collected anonymously and used to inform actions.

We actively promote a healthy office environment, encouraging staff to participate in sporting activities to keep them fresh and excited about their daily jobs. In addition to career counselling, coaching, and mentoring, which support personal and professional growth, we are committed to fostering an environment that prioritizes the wellbeing of our team members.

Empowered flexibility

At PwC, we recognize that every action we take, as a firm and as individuals, impacts the communities where we operate. Our goal is to make a positive difference in the places we work and live, and we empower our people to do the same.

We are actively involved with various charities and community groups, with many of our team members volunteering their time and expertise to support these organizations.

PwC is proud to support a variety of local events and initiatives. Our team participated in the Relay for Life 24 Hour Walk, demonstrating our commitment to fighting cancer and supporting survivors and caregivers. We also support local events like Jeans for Genes Day, which campaigns for Genetic Disorders UK and our local Cyber Centurion team with a donation of laptops. Other events we participate in include the Cake Sale in Aid of GBC Open Day, Christmas Jumper Day, Think Pink Day, Clean Up the World Day, Free the Knees Day, Mental Health Awareness Day, STM Fun Run, and many more.
