How PwC Gibraltar will reach 2030 goals.

Our People

  • Reusable Essentials: Every staff member receives reusable water bottles, coffee cups and cutlery, encouraging a reduction in single-use plastic and fostering a sustainable workplace culture.
  • Environmental Engagement: Our team actively participates in the annual "Clean Up the World" beach clean event. This initiative not only contributes to environmental conservation but also strengthens team spirit and community involvement.
  • Wellness Challenges: We've hosted walking challenges that promote healthy habits and team collaboration. Employees download an app and join randomly organized teams to collectively achieve the longest walking distance.

Sustainability Strategy

  • Resource Efficiency: Implementing motion-activated lighting systems in select office areas significantly minimizes electricity waste, promoting a resource-efficient work environment.
  • Recycling Program: Conveniently located recycling bins on every floor to enable effective separation of plastic and paper from general waste, encouraging staff to engage in responsible disposal practices.
  • Emission Offsetting: Purchasing LEAF credits to compensate for any emissions that are not currently reducible, emphasizing our commitment to a greener future.
  • Sustainable Materials: Transition from single-use plastic bottles to environmentally friendly alternatives like cardboard and glass bottles, effectively reducing plastic waste.
  • Paper Conservation: Eliminated hardcopy newspaper in favour of offering online subscriptions to employees, reducing paper consumption and waste.
  • Sustainable Products: We've transitioned to using 100% recycled paper notebooks and innovative sticky notes with seed-containing packaging for planting.

Community Engagement

  • Sponsorship and Support: Proud sponsors of sustainability initiatives such as the Nautilus beach clean, with our logo appearing alongside other companies on local buses, demonstrating our commitment to community and environmental efforts.
  • Recognition and Awards: Our efforts have been acknowledged with prestigious Nautilus awards, including a major accolade, reinforcing our dedication to environmental responsibility and excellence.
  • Local Sourcing: Actively supporting and fostering local businesses by sourcing our supplies from Gibraltar-based suppliers, strengthening the local economy and reducing our carbon footprint.

PwC Sustainability Committee
